ExeComm Elections for the Year 2010-11

Hurry! Grab this opportunity. This is a final Call for the Students (Year of Joining 2008 and 2009) to apply for the positions.

The Posts open for the applications are as under :-

 

Chairman- 1 post  (Chairman has to coordinate and look after everything related to branch matters)

 

Membership Development committee - 3 posts (1 vice chair and 2 jt. sec-responsible to maintain the membership in the branch)
Secretary- 1 post (Secretary is responsible for the planning implementation and record of every activity that is needed to report to Delhi Section and HQ)
Vice Chair-2 posts and 4 Jt Sec.(1V.C. and 2 Jt Sec. make a team for Event management- each vice chair has to organize 25 events (5 inter college and 20 intra College) in the coming year and to maintain the record of all the activities, Prize money, Certificates etc. under them)
Treasurer-2 posts ( 1 for each team- To keep the record of every financial dealing related to events)
VC Website Maintenance - 1 post (To maintain and update regularly the content of the website and ensure the proper functionality of the same.)

WIE (Women in Engineering) posts are :-
Chair WIE- 1
Secretary-WIE-1
Vice Chair- WIE-1
Jt Sec. WIE-1
Treasurer -WIE-1

WIE committee may consists of girls and boys both and are responsible to conduct three inter college and 10 intra college events.
Yugma and Magnolia will be published with the collective efforts of all of the above posts. Chairman and Secretary will be responsible for final publication.

As per my personal advice and experience of one year chairmanship in IEEE, holding an Execomm Post gives exposure and a wonderful opportunity to interact with various people in Industries. One has ample time in his/her 3rd Year to carry out extra curricular activities and organising IEEE Events under such Posts is a good learning experience as well as lot of fun. IEEE ExeComm Members are given a preference in the team Selection for Innovision and please note that it is a wrong belief that your Academics suffers when you hold a post as I myselves have scored my best ( 77.7 :-)) while working dedicatedly for IEEE at the same time. Being the Chairman for last one year helped me to develop confidence and attitude to manage things and it has never been a hindrance to my studies.

IEEE is a wonderful platform to learn and for those, who believe, IEEE does not deliver upto the mark, ExeComm
Position gives the authority to run things the way you want.
