Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi which consisted of the team comprising Ms. Krittika Adhikary, Mr. Sharat Nambissan K.P. and Mr. Roshan Shankar were crowned the national champions defeating NITIE Bombay, MSRIT Bangalore and Symbiosis Law College, Pune who were the other regional champions, in the national finals.

But reading a false obituary that called him a Merchant of Death prompted him to start the Nobel Prizes in the fields of Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Physiology and Peace.
The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week took place between Oct 31 and Nov 7 2009, across five cities in India to celebrate the same.
The programme included a series of seminars, lectures and roundtables and not least cultural events of music, food and dance. The weeklong activities are strung together by the Nobel thread around the broad themes of creativity and innovation. In the midst of all this celebration, there was a national level Nobel Memorial Quiz which was held across 4 cities-Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune and Bombay with the regional winners clashing on the 7th November 2009 at IIT Delhi.
The big prize that they bag is an all expense paid trip to Sweden as state guests sponsored by Finn Air and the Government of Sweden.
The other teams comprising the final 8 were IIT Delhi, MAMC, Hindu College and Amity Institute of Aerospace Engineering.
With ace quizmaster and Times Now Reporter Srinjoy Chaudhary, the quiz was an exhilarating experience with gems of trivia on how Anita and Arabella were spiders on the Skylab taken to see if spiderwebs worked in anti-gravity situations and Godhra born Nari Contractor to Radio Carbon Dating and Ingmar Bergman films. In this 10 round quiz, 3 rounds were focussed on the Nobel Prize as well.
The winners, NSIT, ex-champions of the BBC University Challenge and the NTPC Electron Quiz, received their trophies at the final day banquet of the Nobel Memorial Quiz at the Ambassador’s Residence at the Nobel Party.
